With seventeen offices across eight countries and its UK headquarters about fifteen miles from Gascoynes’ Ipswich office, Gaston Schul is one of Europe’s leading customs specialists facilitating import and exports in and out of the UK.

Samantha Jakes, UK Finance & Controlling Consultant works from the UK’s head office in Felixstowe and is part of a 30-person team which has trebled in size since it opened in November 2021.

Part of Samantha’s role initially was to source external accountants who could handle both the scale of their operations as well as the ambitious growth plans. Following a detailed online search, she was pleased to find Gascoynes who not only had experience of working with similar sized businesses but also had three local offices.

In the last three years, Samantha and her team has relied on Gascoynes to provide a number of accounting services from annual statutory accounts and support with end of year audits through to Companies House filings,  monthly finance, bookkeeping and payroll plus employer end of year returns and quarterly VAT submissions. Gaston-Schul also use two software packages; QuickBooks and Satago so ongoing support is always at hand with this as well.
