Family Fund(raising)

The charity we have chosen this year is Family Fund who we will be raising funds for throughout the year. Our trainee accountant Harmony put them forward as they have helped her family through a difficult situation.

Family Fund is a charity that is very close to our hearts as this was a charity chosen by one of our employees. Family Fund helped Harmony’s family when her niece suffered from a serious stroke. For many weeks her niece lost the ability to walk, talk, play, and do all kinds of things kids should be able to do. Family Fund provided Harmony’s family with a grant to support her niece throughout her recovery.

So far, we have been raising money internally with our theme days which we have had going on once a month for the past four months. We are very pleased with the enthusiastic participation from our staff and are very much enjoying some of the creative ways they are meeting the themes. Follow us on social media to keep up to date with our fundraising progress and see photos from our future theme days.

We are very excited to be hosting our very own Charity Quiz Night to continue our fundraising effort for the year. This will take place on the 19th July at the Bury Rugby Club. At present we have had great support from our local community with teams from Churchgate Accountants, Shelbourne Reynolds, Bury Bulldogs, Bury Bowl FC as well as teams from friends and family. Teams are filling up quickly, but we still have a few spaces available. If you would like to register a team please email fundraising@gascoynes.co.uk

On the night there will be a raffle and would like to thank the following people who have kindly donated prizes towards this;

The staff at Gascoynes will also be participating in the Suffolk Whole Hog again this year.

This is a five-mile run filled with obstacles, lots of mud and lots of water. We expect to be crawling under cargo nets, climbing up steep banks and walls, wading through rivers, tunnels, slides, jumps, swings and monkey bars. Keep an eye on our social media pages over the next few weeks as we will be revealing our team for the event….. there may be a special someone in the line-up.

We hope this will be as successful as last year and hope to beat our total raised last year of £1,800 which was then matched by Gascoynes bringing our total to £3,600. For any donations please visit our JustGiving page.
