We’re proud to celebrate the journey of Gascoynes and how far we’ve come!
Gascoynes started trading in 1987 when Barry Gascoyne left Radford’s to establish his own firm. Chris joined the business as a trainee in 1991, subsequently qualified with ACCA in 1996 and was immediately given responsibility for his own portfolio of clients. Gascoynes was incorporated in 2003, with Chris acquiring an ownership stake and becoming a director in 2006 before fully taking over the business in 2013.
In 2015, the firm expanded through the acquisition of Barry Hagger & Co and Geoff Mitchell. This was followed in 2016 by the opening of satellite branches in Ipswich and Stowmarket.
In 2019, we opened our Norfolk office in Wymondham. It later relocated to the outskirts of the town to Elm Farm Business Park, giving us convenient access to the A47 and A11, as well as ample parking for our clients.
Our investment in the team continued with Ashley, Mark and Thomas being appointed as directors in 2020.
In 2021, we moved to QuickBooks, a cloud-based system, which significantly enhanced the support we offer our clients.
By 2022, the team had grown to 27 staff across three offices, alongside the acquisition of Finnigan & Co.
Ashley, Mark and Thomas became equal shareholders in 2024, further strengthening the leadership of the firm.
Now in 2026, we are proud to have grown to a team of 40 staff across three offices in Suffolk and Norfolk – and we continue to grow!
Alongside this growth, we have remained committed to supporting our community. Our fundraising efforts began in 2018 raising £3,600 for the MS Society, and more recently in 2025 we were proud to raise over £10,000 for Just George.
We are excited about what the future holds. Our focus remains on providing a high-quality service to our clients. We look forward to you being part of our next chapter.
